La Finca Golf (Algorfa, Alicante) begins the 2026 season with an updated course and a clearly defined objective: to continue refining every element of the layout in order to deliver a first-class golfing experience. The work carried out on holes 2 and 11, designed by renowned golf course architect Tim Lobb, further reinforces the resort’s commitment to innovation, sustainability — supported by the GEO Certified® accreditation — and excellence.

This approach has consolidated La Finca Golf’s position among Spain’s most highly regarded golf destinations, as highlighted by Golf Digest, which places La Finca Golf in 12th position in the national ranking of golf courses in Spain.

Redesign of holes 2 and 11

The new season is accompanied by a significant enhancement of the course following the intervention of Tim Lobb, founder of Lobb + Partners and one of the most respected golf course designers internationally.

Holes 2 and 11 have been comprehensively redesigned with the aim of strengthening strategic play, improving their integration into the surrounding landscape and optimising long-term maintenance. The project, developed throughout 2025 in collaboration with the resort’s technical team, has resulted in a full renewal of both holes.

Key improvements include the creation of new landing areas from the tee, the introduction of new bunkers, wider playing zones and a refreshed strategic approach that enhances the overall golfer experience.

At the same time, particular attention has been given to agronomic considerations, encouraging more efficient water use while preserving the natural aesthetics that define the course.

La Finca Golf’s commitment to sustainability is a well-established reality. Since February 2022, the course has held the GEO Certified® accreditation, awarded by the GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf, recognising responsible management in key areas such as water use, energy efficiency, biodiversity and engagement with the local community.

Among the measures implemented are the use of 100% reclaimed water for irrigation, the installation of moisture sensors and weather stations to optimise consumption, as well as the naturalisation of extensive areas of the course using native plant species.

These initiatives support local wildlife and help reduce the use of plant protection products, maintaining a balance between sustainability and high-quality playing conditions.

In Golf Digest 2024, La Finca Golf is listed as the 12th best golf course in Spain and recognised as the top course in the province of Alicante.
