GLa Finca Golf has been recognised as one of Spain’s best golf courses in the prestigious biennial ranking compiled by Golf Digest, one of the world’s leading international publications in the golfing world. In this edition, the course ranks 13th in Spain, whilst also retaining its position as the best golf course in the province of Alicante.

This recognition cements La Finca Golf’s place amongst the elite of Spanish golf, having also featured in the previous edition of the ranking published two years ago. Its continued presence in this ranking reflects the resort’s commitment to quality, course maintenance and the constant improvement of the player’s experience.

Originally designed by the prestigious Spanish architect Pepe Gancedo, La Finca Golf stands out for a course with great character, featuring wide fairways, uniquely designed greens and iconic holes that have made the course a benchmark for thousands of national and international golfers. The Golf Digest ranking highlights aspects such as the course’s architecture, the quality of maintenance, the surroundings and the overall experience offered by each course.

An ongoing commitment to improvement

This recognition from Golf Digest reflects a strategy of continuous improvement that La Finca Golf has been pursuing for years, with the aim of offering an increasingly comprehensive, sustainable and modern golfing experience.

As part of this long-term vision, La Finca Golf works alongside the prestigious golf course architect Tim Lobb, who serves as the course’s Consulting Architect. In this role, he leads the course’s development strategy through initiatives that respect the essence of Pepe Gancedo’s original design whilst simultaneously enhancing playability, sustainability and the overall playing experience.

As a result of this collaboration, significant improvements have already been carried out, notably the remodelling of holes 2 and 11, designed to enrich the strategy of play and optimise various aspects of the course without losing its identity. Furthermore, a comprehensive refurbishment of the practice area is planned for next year, a project that will enhance the resort’s training and technical development facilities.

According to Gonzalo Pedrera, CEO of La Finca Resort:

“these initiatives form part of a roadmap aimed at maintaining La Finca Golf’s position amongst the leading names in Spanish golf and continuing to offer a course that is constantly evolving, capable of meeting the expectations of the most demanding players.”

A leading name in golf on the Costa Blanca

This latest accolade reaffirms La Finca Golf’s position as one of Spain’s leading golf destinations and helps to strengthen the Costa Blanca’s reputation as one of the most prominent destinations for European golf tourism.

The combination of a top-quality course, first-class facilities and the accommodation, dining and sports facilities at La Finca Resort make the complex a destination of choice for golfers from all over the world.

For Salvador Lucas, Director of Golf at La Finca Resort,

“being included once again in this prestigious ranking is a source of enormous pride for the whole team. This kind of recognition not only highlights the work we do at La Finca Golf, but also helps to reinforce the standing of the Costa Blanca and the province of Alicante as a high-quality golf destination.
