La Finca Resort dazzles at the 'From Bali to the Jungle' event: the perfect oasis for your wedding
Last Saturday 16 November, La Finca Resort held an open day for weddings and celebrations: "From Bali to the Jungle" showcased how La Finca Resort can convert its amazing spaces into the perfect setting for a wedding or social event. The most exciting moment of the day was a fashion show where Roberto Vicentti presented his collection of groomswear and Otaduy introduced its collection of wedding dresses.
Dolce & Gabbana turned their Milan catwalk show into a sophisticated rainforest setting to present their 2020 spring/summer collection, and this explosion of colour, combined with the most exquisite refinement by decorators and designers, was the inspiration for the La Finca Resort open day for weddings and events.
The glazed events room with views of the pool and the gardens at La Finca Hotel was the perfect setting for this spectacle of colour and glamour. Irene Mingot, events manager at La Finca Resort and the organiser of the event, opened the doors to the public mid-morning. Participants were able to enjoy the carefully thought out décor, organised by Irene Mingot and Sueños de Eva, as well as the different activities and workshops, where it was possible to discover everything needed to organise the perfect wedding.
The central area of the Cristal events room was prepared for the fashion show that closed the event, with stunning lighting by Grupo Valcres and where a team led by Cristina Jiménez (Beauty & Art) was in charge of make up for the models who wore the new collections by Roberto Vicentti (groomswear) and Otaduy (wedding dresses). Around the the main catwalk, participants had a stunning range of La Finca Resort trusted suppliers: from travel agencies to interior designers, florists, photographers, hair and make up, and accessories (shoes, fascinators, jewellery). The impressive staging for the food stations was widely commented on by participants, who praised not only the quality of the food but also the 'mise en place' of the products: a savoury food station, a food station for sweet food and one for fruit.
Participants were treated to live music in the garden outside with different musical styles throughout the day: piano by Toccata y Fuga, soloist Nerea Almendros, the Cuarteto Aram and saxophonist JenJammix Sax and DJ Ben. The gardens were the perfect setting to sit and listen to the music and enjoy a cocktail. There was a play marquee with monitors organising children's games and visitors could also try out the wedding cars or touch up their make up in the beauty corner at the La Finca Spa.
Director of Food & Beverage at La Finca Resort, Pablo Saura declared that "it's only at an event like this that you can experience the reality of the place for yourself, the facilities, the setting and what our team is able to organise". Irene Mingot, events manager and the organiser of this open day also commented that "thanks to this event we have been able to show the world what La Finca Resort can offer to the events sector and the wedding sector in particular, giving events the importance they require and the attention they deserve, with the quality of a five-star resort and the best suppliers to ensure that any wedding celebrated here is a dream come true".
The finishing touch to the event was the much awaited fashion show where designer Roberto Vicentti presented his collection of groomswear and the Otaduy brand introduced its collection of wedding dresses, inspired by music with electronic and tropical touches and the unbeatably stylish Amazon-themed décor. Visitors were amazed by the wedding dresses, groomswear and accessories presented, excitedly sharing the details on social media and specialist wedding media.
The cool vibe at the event was very popular with both organisers and participants. Rodolfo Mcartney (No Quiero agency), who often collaborates on projects with La Finca Resort commented that "on Saturday I found the perfect place for a wedding. Perfect for its location and versatility, but above all for the team behind La Finca Resort".
